I've been using the uharc.exe with the "dos" commands to compress stuff and I find it easier to use then file compress...the only advantage I find of file compress is that it is easier to look inside uha archives with it...but for the compressing options and such... I'm sorry but I find it craptacular in that respect

Disagree entirely. If you're accustomed to working at the command line (C:>) prompt, it's just what you're used to and, in that respect, completely subjective. I don't pretend to be "objective", of course! My point though is that FileCompress is intended to be a *Windows GUI* for UHARC! (Hello?!) If you prefer working at command prompt, go for it...
For my part though, I much prefer a graphical interface and FileCompress is pretty damn smack-dab on in the features and usability dept!
My ONE suggestion is I wish it offered a way to *batch convert* all of my .rar and .zip files to UHA format...with maybe with the *option* to even delete the 'originals' (the .rar and .zip files). Though this would probably be most easily accomplished (under the hood) by un-RARing/un-ZIPing first, then UHAing them into a similarly named new file...to the user it could/would be a completely transparent convert from, say, "MyFile1.rar" to "MyFile1.uha"..."MyFile2.rar" to MyFile2.uha", etc...
